Northern Wireless Communications is excited to offer a new way to pay your statements when we convert our systems to new billing software in June. The new system will offer more convenient payment options for our customers in the form of the SmartHub online portal and mobile app. But, there are a few things that Northern Wireless customers need to know about the conversion.
1. Northern Wireless = Northern Electric Cooperative
One of the most important items you’ll want to remember is that Northern Wireless Communications is a subsidiary of Northern Electric Cooperative. The new billing system will streamline the billing process between both organizations. Your Northern Wireless statement following the June 13, 2016, conversion will now have a heading that says Northern Electric Cooperative. Don’t throw this bill away because this is how all new statements will print.
When you pay your Northern Wireless bill all checks after June 13 will need to be written to Northern Electric Cooperative and any charges on your credit card will show up as being charged to Northern Electric Cooperative.
2. SAVE THE DATE: June 13
This is an important day. The new billing software will be implemented on June 13, 2016. Any changes to your account will have to be made after this date. Mark it on your calendar because you won’t want to forget it.
3. Sign Up For SmartHub
SmartHub will be the new online portal where you can pay your bill. The SmartHub app also has several new features and is available in the Apple and Android app stores. You will be able to download the app and pay your bill on the go from your smartphone or tablet. However, you need to wait until after the June 13 conversion to set up your account. This new feature makes managing your account so simple it’s smart!
4. Use Your Credit Card On SmartHub
If you want to pay your bill with a credit card the easiest option after June 13 is through SmartHub.
For your protection, we will no longer be able to take credit card payments over the phone. Instead, you will be directed to an 800 number where you can key in your information in a secure environment. However, if you sign up for SmartHub you will be able to manage your account yourself and set up payment options.
5. It’s Going To Be Easy
The new SmartHub portal and billing system is going to make the billing process more streamlined and convenient for you. The new payment options that will be available will make managing your account easy.
